Wendy Figura, the "live streamer biritera" from Cabuyao, Laguna, is the new Defending Bida of the reality singing competition Centerstage.
She was hailed as the new conqueror of the Ultimate Centerstage after she bested her predecessor Angel Daras in their one-on-one battle.

Wendy impressed Centerstage judges Pops Fernandez, Aicelle Santos, and Mel Villena with her rendition of Freddie Aguilar's “Bulag, Pipi at Bingi.”
Angel, on the other hand, sang Pinoy rock singer Sampaguita's hit “Nosi Balasi.”
At the end of the battle, the judges said that the two contenders were at par when it comes to their voice quality, but they favored Wendy because of her song choice.
“Sa akin, kaya tayo nabago is because of the song choice. Otherwise, kung hindi nagkagano'n 'yon then it would add up to the stress na lalong mas mahirap talaga pumili,” judge Mel said.
Judge Aicelle chimed in, “Kung voice quality lang at par, e. S'yempre hahanapin mo na lang 'yung mas angat in terms of… ako dun na nga lang ako sa song tumingin, song choice.
“But it's hard to let go kasi pareho talagang mahusay. But then again kung sino man ang hindi mapipili, kumanta ka pa rin nang kumanta dahil it's never the end.”
Although only Wendy got the chance to proceed to the next round, Concert Queen and judge Pops likewise maintained that they are “both fantastic singers and performers.”

Aside from Angel, Wendy also defeated aspiring Centerstage titleholders Adam Rei Hangor, the 11-year-old "kontesero" from Biñan; Rein de Leon, the 12-year-old charmer from Cabuyao; and "operatic voice charmer" Acee Elnar.
Will Angel Daras defend her spot? Or will a new bida kid soon claim the Centerstage?
