Vic and Maine have proven their undeniable chemistry when they played as father and daughter in the popular Eat Bulaga segment “Kalyserye” and in their blockbuster hit movie My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore in 2015.

They shared some details of this highly-anticipated project in an exclusive interview with GMA-7 media on the set of Daddy's Gurl in Quezon City recently.

Maine said this is her gift to her loyal fans who have been waiting for her to do a sitcom.

She said, “As in talagang ihahandog namin sa lahat ng mga nag-iintay ng sitcom talaga para sa akin po and with Bossing, siyempre.

“Marami din po kaming makakasama dito, so medyo iba 'yung timpla nitong sitcom na 'to.”

The Dubsmash Queen also admitted that she still gets nervous working with the one and only Bossing.

Maine explained, “Ay hindi po talaga mawawala 'yun pagiging intimated po sa kaniya, kasi si Bossing po yan di ba, Bossing Vic Sotto.

“So, parang kahit man ho sino siguro ang makasama, kahit sino makatrabaho niya parang laging kakabahan talaga kapag may eksena with him.”

Eat Bulaga's pioneer host Vic Sotto also stressed that he wants Daddy's Gurl to be different from his previous comedy shows.

“Marami, just the fact that na ibang approach ang ginawa namin dito, para kaming nagsho-shoot ng pelikula. Sabi ko nga kanina, 'Anong pelikula to?'

“Ito ay sitcom, bagong sitcom namin ni Maine [Mendoza] and gusto namin iba from the other sitcoms that I have done before.

“May ibang characters, may on-location, usually ang mga sitcom ko sa studio.

“Ito 100% location, hanggang Batangas nagsho-shoot kami,” he said.

Vic thinks his and Maine's partnership is going to be forever as they play another father and daughter roles in Daddy's Gurl.

“Nagsimula kami mag-tatay. Aldub pa lang mag-tatay na kami, e. Na-feel namin ang isa't-isa na bagay kami mag-tatay.

“Dito sa sitcom na bago, mag-tatay, 'Wala na, nagpirmahan na ng kontrata na mag-tatay na tayo forever.'”

Joining Vic and Maine in this show is the equally talented comedian Wally Bayola.
