'Prima Donnas' star Althea Ablan says she wants to work with Richard Yap

This early in her career, young star Althea Ablan has proven her prowess as an actress in the top-rating GMA Afternoon Prime series Prima Donnas which recently concluded its first season.

On Tuesday, Althea was featured in GMA Artist Center's online show In The Limelight, where she talked about her goals and hopes in the coming years of her career.

She revealed that in the future, she wants to work with two notable Kapuso actors namely Ken Chan and Richard Yap.

“Si Ken Chan kasi sa guesting lang nagkikita pero never pa kami nagka-work na magkasama. So, hoping in the future makasama ko siya sa work,” she said adding, “Si Richard Yap! Ang taas ng pangarap. Hopefully soon.”

Meanwhile, it was just confirmed that book two of the beloved series Prima Donnas is in the works, with the same star-studded cast, including the 16-year-old actress.

According to Althea, her role as the firm fighter Donna Belle in the series reflects her own approach in life.

“Donna Belle is known as palaban and never siyang naggi-give up lalo na 'pag may gusto siyang pangarap and ako 'yun in real life. Siyempre lahat naman tayo if may pangarap ka dapat gawan natin ng paraan at hindi tayo susuko.

“Ako lagi ko 'yung sinasabi sa sarili ko na 'pag may pangarap dapat mo talagang gawan ng paraan at pagtiyagaan mo kasi lahat ng gusto mo is pinaghihirapan. Hindi 'yan kusang darating sa 'yo. Dapat pinaghihirapan mo talaga,” she said.

After months of suspenseful antics and shocking twists, the well-loved series has concluded its run last Friday, February 19, and Althea has none but gratitude for all the avid viewers of the show.

“Gusto kong magpasalamat sa solid fans ng Prima Donnas sa pagsuporta n'yo sa 'min simula umpisa hanggang sa magtapos kami, nandiyan kayo para sa 'min. Kung wala kayo, wala kaming mataas na rating and sobrang sobrang nagpapasalamat kami sa inyo sa pagsuporta n'yo.

“Nakakatuwa kasi 'yung iba na nagtya-chat sa 'kin na, 'Bakit ganito na 'yung nangyayari? Ano nang nangyayari sa 'yo Donna Belle?'

“Nakakatuwa kasi updated sila lagi sa Prima Donnas so nakakataba ng puso. Maraming-maraming salamat din kasi ipinaramdam n'yo sa 'min ang suporta. Lahat ng pagod is worth it kasi napapalitan 'yan ng magandang kalabasan,” she concluded.
