Ruru Madrid enjoys working with and learning from his idol Christopher de leon in 'Lolong'

Kapuso hunk actor Ruru Madrid sure is blessed not only with the lead role in the upcoming action-adventure series Lolong, but also with the chance of having an acting masterclass from no less than the country's drama king, Christopher de Leon.

With the resumption of Lolong's taping, the entire production will be locked-in for two months. With this isolation, Ruru looks forward not only to a fruitful acting experience with his idol but more so, a tutelage on life from the award-winning actor.

“To be honest kami po ni Sir Bo lagi po kami nagkakaroon ng pag-uusap. When it comes to the craft, sa acting, or sa tapings namin kung papaano ba dapat gawin namin. He's very open when it comes to sharing 'yung mga pinagdaanan niya rin of course matagal na rin siya sa industriya natin alam na niya kung ano 'yung mga pasikot-sikot,” he said in a virtual interview.

“Ayun din po 'yung nagustuhan ko sa kanya na hindi po siya madamot mag-share. Ako naman sa akin naman on my part, I am very curious sa mga bagay bagay so matanong po talaga ko nakak-excite po talaga na magkasama kami sa lock-in taping and this time mas mahaba kasi two months po kaming nandoon,” he added.

Ruru has been very vocal about his excitement for the premiere of one of the most ambitious projects of the Kapuso Network. Giving it his all, Ruru has submitted himself to various physical training to equip himself for the demands of his role.

In fact, he even shuns his double most of the time and does his own death-defying stunts. For the 24-year-old actor, Lolong isn't just an ordinary project for him, the series is a dream come true because it has always been his dream to become an action star.
