Award-winning actress brought tears to netizens and fans' eyes once again in the weekly drama anthology Magpakailanman.

Barbie played Bonita Baran, a young woman who became a maid due to poverty. Bonita was then mistreated and abused by her employers which left her with bruises all over her body and even became blind.

Bonita attained justice in 2017, five years after she appealed to the court about her case.

Last Saturday, June 29, netizens got to watch Barbie's take on the role and lauded the Kapuso actress' heart-wrenching performance proving that she is one of the best actresses of her generation.

One even mentioned giving Barbie a throne hailing her as a “queen who can act naturally.”

While few even said that she's the “most versatile young actress” and her acting skills are “so effective.”
