Moms often feel guilty when they think they haven't given their best or failed to do something for their kids. Hence, the term "mom guilt." But more often than not, this feeling is unnecessary. After all, nobody's perfect, right?

In a recent episode of Mars Pa More, celebrity moms Carmina Villaroel and Tanya Garcia, as well as hosts Iya Villania and Camille Prats, all fessed up to some things that they are guilty about as moms.

And most of them are actually funny moments that many moms could relate to.

Lying about "spicy food"

Moms are just as human as everyone else, and although they will not hesistate about making sacrifices for the welfare of the children, sometimes they just feel like enjoying their favorite food, without having to share it with anyone else.

That's why many resort to telling their children white lies such as "Maanghang 'to." (This is spicy). Actress Tanya Garcia said she's guilty of this.

“Sinasabi ko it's either bitter or spicy para hindi sila maki-share sa'kin, especially 'pag mga favorite ko, 'yung mga sweets na chocolate, mga ganyan.”

Human shield to flying ipis

Any person, no matter how physically strong or brave he or she may be, suddenly turns into the biggest coward on earth when faced with a flying cockroach.

Parents are expected to protect their children and teach them the best way to handle difficult situations.

But when a flying ipis approaches out of nowhere, all those ideals about what parents should do fly out the window and most would opt to run for cover or even use their children as human shields.

Tanya says she has never used her kids as human shields, but has at some point left them behind to run away from a flying cockroach.

“Ako kasi magugulatin ako, mali-mali. 'Yung konting ano lang, sumisigaw ako. So minsan akala mo may flying cockroach pero moth lang.

“So, 'yung three-year-old ko, four-year-old, palagi siyang biktima kasi nagugulat talaga siya kapag nagsisigaw ako. Tapos naiiwan ko siya.

“Siya 'yung parang 'Mom, why? What's wrong? It's just a moth.' 'Yung mga ganun.

“Tapos ako sobrang magi-guilty ako na parang 'Oh my gosh. Naiwan ko siya.' Pero nagtatatakbo na ko or sumigaw na ko or nakapatong na ko kung saan. (laughs)”

Meanwhile, Carmina Villaroel says she's never used her twins Cassy and Mavy Legaspi as human shields, but thinks she's capable of doing so out of desperation.

“Ako, sobrang 'yan ang pinakakinatatakutan ko sa lahat, ang ipis. So, wala pa namang nangyari na ginawa ko silang human shield, pero… magagawa ko 'yon! Kung nandidiyan na siya at papunta na sa'kin. Baka iharang ko pa si Maverick o si Cassy.

“I mean, kasi brave sila e. Mas brave sila, so they would understand me. Ako talaga, iiwan ko sila or gagawin ko silang human shield. That, feeling ko magagawa ko. So please don't judge me dahil matatakutin talaga ako sa ipis.”
