EXCLUSIVE: Bakit nasabi ni Ronnie Henares na hindi madamot ang creative director ng 'Pepito Manaloto' na si Michael V?

Hindi iniisip ng Pepito Manaloto star at veteran director na si Ronnie Henares ang mga itinatapat na show ng rival network sa kanilang sitcom.

Pag-amin ni Ronnie sa one-on-one interview ng GMANetwork.com, sinabi niya na naniniwala sila na ang main competition nila ay ang mga sarili nila.

Paliwanag niya, “You know from the start we’ve never been bothered about competition eh. Our main competition is ourselves. How to better ourselves 'di ba. And Michael V and again the creative team worked on coming up with stories that people could relate to hindi imbento ‘yung stories eh. These are stories that actually happened.”

Isa rin marahil sa naging susi sa success ng Pepito Manaloto: Ang Tunay na Kuwento sa mga nagdaang taon ang pag-expand ng storylines ng iba pang mga characters na hindi lang nagpatawa kundi nagpaiyak na rin sa mga Kapuso viewers.

Binigyang papuri ni Ronnie ang creative director nila na si Michael V at ang creative team ng show na nakaisip na bigyan ng pagkakataon na mas lalong mag-develop ang ibang mga supporting characters sa Pepito Manaloto.

“It’s hard to have a storyline na just with a few people all the time. It really has to expand. But again with the creative team of Michael V and the writers they were able to work out na mag-expand ‘yung mga stories namin, which are nice. If you’ve seen the story of Mosang [who plays Baby] maiiyak ka eh 'di ba. We had high ratings that time eh. Drama ha Mosang and Janna (Dominguez)."

Dagdag niya, nakakataba raw ng puso na hindi pinagdamot ng show sa iba pang mga cast members na maging bida sila minsan ng isang episode.

“It’s nice, it feels good to be given the chance to have the limelight once in a while. And again it speaks very big of the creative team, Michael V and the show. Hindi sila madamot 'di ba porket si Michael V ang star, si Manilyn Reynes ang star.”
