Playlist feature: Koreen Medina shares about life changes after 'StarStruck'

It’s been a year since Koreen Medina joined StarStruck and entered the world of show business. The ‘Biritera Beauty Queen’ is thankful for all the blessings she’s been receiving and couldn’t be happier about how she has grown through the journey so far.
“[Life] has changed a lot, a lot better. I guess it depends din sa person on how you handle [the experience, how you handle ups and downs,” she said.
She’s glad to have a strong support system so she can commit to the fulfillment of her dreams.
“I’m very lucky that I have my family, I have my handler, my manager sa Artist Center na nag-pu-push sa ‘kin not just sa work professionally but also emotionally, mentally. I guess 'yun din yung importante, 'yung people around you who inspire you,” she added.
There are also adjustments that she had to make when she became part of the industry.
“You can’t go out without makeup, you can’t eat too much. It’s a lifestyle. You don’t have to act like an artista eh, you have to be the artista. Every day is challenging,” she noted.
She, however, is often uplifted by the messages she receives from her supporters.
“They say that ‘I’m inspired by you’. Simple lang siya but [it’s a privilege that] you have that power to influence people. Sobrang na-a-amaze lang ako na may ganun [na reactions from people kasi] ‘di ko iniisip na [I will be able to impact them],” she shared.
One way she’d like to share her craft is through music, her first love. For starters, she will be singing two songs on the Playlist stage.
“[Music] is everything. I grew up singing. I’ve been singing since I was six years old so it’s my life, my first love, more than acting. I love singing with all my heart,” she concluded.
