The leading broadcast network in the Philippines GMA-7 has finally unveiled the seven multi-talented artists, who will be part of Running Man Philippines, the biggest reality-game show this 2022.

In a May 27 special report on 24 Oras, the media giant confirmed that Glaiza De Castro, Ruru Madrid, Lexi Gonzales, Kokoy de Santos, Angel Guardian, Buboy Villar, and Mikael Daez will be the cast members of this big show.

Running Man, which debuted back in 2010 in South Korea, is a show where a group of celebrities compete in outrageous missions to win prizes and avoid penalties.

In 2020, GMA-7 and South Korean broadcast network SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System) signed a co-production deal that will bring the popular Korean show here in the country.

It has several franchises in other countries already like China, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

Kapuso hottie Ruru Madrid told 24 Oras that they will give their all in every game or mission that they will do in Running Man Philippines.

He said, “Kilala naman natin lahat ng Pinoy na hindi nagpapatalo. So tayo gagawin din natin 'yun. Hindi kami mag-iinarte dito. Magiging competitive kami lahat dito.”

Meanwhile, Kapuso primetime star Glaiza De Castro considers this show a great opportunity for viewers and fans to get to know her on a deeper level.

“Hindi ako sanay na parang maipakita talaga kung sino ako. Siguro, isa sa mga avenues ko para mas makilala ako ng mga tao, bilang ako. Wow!”

Sparkle talent Lexi Gonzales also echoed what Glaiza said, “Excited ako kasi ang dami kaming gagawing challenges, 'tsaka iba talaga 'to. Excited din ako na ipakita 'yung totoong ako.”

For his part, Bubble Gang star Kokoy de Santos made a promise that he will be giving this show his 101%. He said, “Kasi lahat ng bagay na ginagawa ko nilalagyan ko ng puso e. Pati pagtakbo ko may puso”

Buboy added that this big project is a huge honor for all of them. “Isang malaking karangalan po 'yun kasi isang malaking show ng Korea po 'yun.”

Actress-singer Angel Guardian admitted in her interview with GMA-7's flagship newscast that Running Man Philippines is a big break for someone like her. We last saw her in Pepito Manaloto: Ang Unang Kuwento.

She explained, “Sobrang laking show na 'to and for me ito po talaga 'yung opportunity na parang sobrang overwhelming.”

Kapuso host and leading man Mikael Daez was beaming when he talked to 24 Oras and shared that they could feel the excitement of the ardent fans of Running Man here in the country.

“'Pag sinearch mo sa Twitter and sa Facebook, and dami. 'Tapos tinitingnan nila, 'Okay sino na ba 'yung magiging cast nito doon sa reveal?'" Mikael said.

He continued, “Ang dami nilang theories, may podcast pa sila na pinag-uusapan nila ano ang puwede mangyari sa Running Man Philippines. So, dahil ang laking ng fanbase dito sa Philippines nakaka-excite para sa amin lahat.”
