READ: XOXO member Riel Lomadilla has a piece of advice for 'The Clash' hopefuls

GMA Artist Center has officially introduced its newest girl group XOXO to the press!

Originally from the singing reality search The Clash, they are Riel “The Diva,” Dani “The Fierce and Sexy,” Lyra “The Tough Girl,” and Mel “The Sweet Girl.”

And during a press conference held last August 23, the girl group was asked what piece of advice they could give to the upcoming finalists of the said singing competition.

The 24-year-old Filipino-Nigerian Riel took the mic and said, “If ever makapasok sila sa The Clash, gusto ko pong ipaalam sa kanila na sobrang laki po ng opportunity na makukuha nila.

“Literal na magbabagago 'yung buhay nila just like kung paano nagbago 'yung buhay namin.

“So for me, ang ma-a-advice ko sa kanila is i-enjoy nila 'yung ride at i-appreciate nila lahat ng itinuturo at ibinibigay ng coaches sa The Clash kasi sobrang magagamit nila yun -- if ever maging artista o singer sila or kahit in their daily lives.”

She also suggested to keep in mind the roster of songs a participant can comfortably sing to.

“In terms of song choices, dapat alam nila 'yung song choices nila.

“Kasi nung nasa The Clash kami, nahirapan kami sa song choices namin kasi nagkakaubusan.

“So, siguro before ka sumabak sa The Clash, dapat ilista mo na 'yung forte mo at ano 'yung mga gamay mo na na kanta,” she concluded.
