WATCH: Lani Misalucha impersonates international divas

By Jansen Ramos

Asia's Nightingale Lani Misalucha proved she's a versatile singer and an ultimate performer as she emulates international divas.

For Lani, this seems to be a piece of cake and every time she does musical impersonations during her concerts, the audience can't help but jibe to her performances as if they are at a Hollywood concert while adding comedic act to them.

Lani gave her audience a show that they would never forget just like in her one-night concert in Araneta Coliseum called “Missing You” in 2007, packed with almost 18,000 fans and followers, where she performed the hits of such vocal powerhouses and best-selling musical performers of all time including Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Celine Dion, and Whitney Houston.

Lani opened the segment dressed as Tina Turner, wearing tassel dress and shaggy wig. She's got the Queen of Rock and Roll's trademark growls, grunts, and raspy vocals in her performance of "Proud Mary" while amusingly impersonated Tina's stage quirks.

After the electrifying performance of "Proud Mary," Lani mellowed down as she changed her personality to the legendary singer Diana Ross. Lani emulated Diana's warm vocal timbre in her rendition of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough."

When it comes to musical impersonations, Lani can ace Canadian singer Celine Dion's technically skilled vocals. One can easily think that Celine is the one singing as Lani impressively channeled Celine's iconic whispers and high notes in her version of "Power of Love."

Clad in sequin halter gown and wig with fringe bangs, Lani closed the segment ala-Whitney Houston with her powerful medley of chart-topping hits "I Have Nothing" and "I Will Always Love You."
