For Carla Abellana, the dedication of the people behind 'Voltes V: Legacy' is too remarkable to ignore: 'If there's such thing that's nailing for perfection, 'yun 'yung aim talaga nila.'
Carla Abellana takes pride in being part of the groundbreaking Filipino series, Voltes V: Legacy, despite being cast for a short role.
She plays Mary Ann Armstrong, one of Camp Big Falcon's key scientists and the mother of the three Armstrong brothers Steve, Big Bert, and Little Jon.
Asked about her proudest moment as one of the stars of the series, she shared it's not about its bigness in terms of budget.
Carla said, "In terms of effort, 'yung passion, 'yung attention to detail, 'yun 'yun e. It doesn't matter kung ito 'yung pinagkagastusan or pinaghandaan or pinakamatagal gawin.
"Wala naman lahat ng 'yon, balewala 'yung pinaka outcome. Pero 'yung attention to detail ng buong production pati ng consultant, 'yung passion talaga lalo na ni direk Mark [Reyes], hindi binabalewala."
The production took them two years to finish filming Voltes V: Legacy which began in May 2021 and ended last April 1. On top of that, the planning, evaluation, scripting, approval of materials, and the like were almost 10 years in the making.
Just two months before the theatrical run of Voltes V: Legacy which premiered in cinemas last April 25, Carla still managed to shoot her last few scenes for Voltes V: Legacy while being committed to work for another series, Stone Life. The said scene, which was shot on blue screen, made it to the cinematic version of the series called the Voltes V: Legacy: The Cinematic Experience.
For Carla, the dedication of the people behind the series is too remarkable to ignore.
"In fact, that's the very reason kung bakit natagalan din s'ya, bakit ito 'yung pinakamagastos kasi if there's such thing that's nailing for perfection, 'yun 'yung aim talaga nila kasi nga napaka-iconic ng Voltes V.
"So hindi basta-basta and proud ako doon kasi alam mong hindi s'ya bara-bara, hindi pinaglaruan, seryoso, and they just simply want to give the best sa audience natin."
Voltes V: Legacy airs weeknights, 8:00 p.m., on GMA Telebabad, GTV, I Heart Movies, and Pinoy Hits.
