Fall in love with Mikoy Morales

This young and charming Kapuso actor, Mikoy Morales was first known as the protege of Jolina Magdangal. Now, Mikoy has proven himself in terms of his acting and music.

GMANetwork.com caught up with Mikoy for an exclusive interview to answer questions that girls are dying to ask him.

“As long as she is humorous, smart, family oriented, mannered,” disclosed the young actor on what type of girl he will fall for.

“Di namimili ang pag-ibig,”he further emphasized. “Destiny kung ano mangyari, kung sino dumating.”

Love is deep and true for this young man, even though he’s just 19 years old. “Iba kasi nagsasabi ng specifics nila, kung sino gusto nila. Tapos, pag may iba sila nagustuhan, wala lahat nuon di ba. “

Mikoy shared that having a relationship is not new to him. He had encountered heart aches and experiences that go with it. “I’ve been in a couple of relationships, a few, actually. It helped me shape who I am. It’s part of life. It’s part of growing up.”

He added,“at this stage, wala ng fling-fling. Pag dating sa relationships, it’s gonna be serious. I feel like I’m wasting time. Wala na ako sa mood makipag-fling fling.“

“Pero ngayon, career lang talaga and studies,” shared Mikoy on what keeps him busy nowadays.

When asked how does it feel taping scenes for With A Smile,“Okay naman, it’s very light. Sa set, on-and off-cam, it’s very light. We just really have fun. And, people are very accommodating. May flow iyong set namin, iyong taping.”

With A Smile is a romantic-comedy telenovela. It never fails to make the mornings of the Kapuso viewers warm and light. It also features lessons on love, failures and success. “Fit na fit iyong title sa show and production. Although may heavy scenes, iyak-iyak, drama-drama. It’s really pampagaan ng loob.”

Mikoy's enthusiasm was so obvious. It was clear that he enjoyed being part of the show. “Sometimes, you even forget that it’s work, kasi you enjoy. You’re not stressed and pressured,” he enthused.

When asked about his role in With A Smile, “I play the role of Mikoy. Si Mikoy na ito, matalino raw pero kulelat sa panliligaw. I don’t think kulelat ako sa panliligaw. (laughs)”

So how does he make girls fall for him?

“I don’t court. Mas modern na attack na kasi ngayon. Hindi na nanliligaw, I mean, sa parents. Para sa akin ang ideal relationship, it starts with friendship.”

Friendship that will lead into a romantic relationship works for Mikoy. “So pag sinabi mo kasing nanliligaw, parang mag-iiba na tingin niyo sa relationship. It won’t give way to friendship anymore. It starts with friendship, tapos magiging best friends kayo.”

In the story, Mikoy of With A Smile is a young intelligent man that is clueless in courting. Mikoy revealed that his character is far from reality. To whom Mikoy of With A Smile heart beats?

“Kay Sahsah. Hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit. Kasi iyong character niya, very madaldal, kikay. And iyong tipong OMG, talaga. And tatlo-tatlo kaming nanliligaw sa kanya, ang haba ng hair niya ah.”

What’s Mikoy Morales’ advice to his character about courting?

“Mikoy, alam mo gayahin mo si Mikoy. Hindi kulelat (laughs),” he playfully said.

Mikoy shared some of his moves in courting:

1. Be yourself. “Matalino ka so you’ll get around with people a lot.”

2. Kung gusto mo, may paraan.

“Doon naman kasi, kung matalino siya [Mikoy of With A Smile], hindi siya dapat kulelat sa panliligaw. I’m sure may twist iyan. Matalino iyan pero I’m sure di pa niya pinapakita or medyo sensitive pa siya about it. I’m sure may tinatago lang iyan si Mikoy [of With A Smile],” he revealed about his character.

Will Mikoy Morales fall in love with Sahsah of With A Smile?

“Maliit ang chance. Malayo kasi. Sahsah is very loud and kikay. And sometimes, she gets carried away with her “kikayness” parang sobrang vocal niya. Do you ever make sense, parang ganun. I don’t see myself being with someone like that.”

Knowing that, what shall a girl do to steal Mikoy Morales’ heart?

“By making me laugh, that’s one. And by being understanding, at the same time informative. Ayoko iyong feeling na ako iyong, parang nagiging dominant in a relationship. So, I want that person to know what she really wants – to bring me along with her. Ayoko iyong sunud –sunuran lang siya o sunud-sunuran lang ako sa kanya. I want us to jive in a good way. Of course, kunin niya rin ang loob ng pamilya ko. That’s very important.”
