New iOS 16 lets users unsend and edit messages on iMessage

If you're still on the fence about updating to iOS 16, Apple's latest mobile operating system is allowing iMessages to be edited or unsent might just convince you.
As reported by Complex, the new iOS 16 software allows users to unsend iMessages up to two minutes after it was sent, and also allows for iMessages to be edited 15 minutes after they've been sent. However, the new update is only available for iPhones released since 2017, and the new iMessage features will only work if both iPhones have upgraded to the new iOS.
Take a look at how the new features work in the video below.

The new features join the other new ones that the tech company has been introducing over the past few months. Its latest iPhone 14 for instance, features the Dynamic Island feature, which Apple describes as “a rich and delightful new way to interact with activities, alerts, and notifications.” The feature can change its size and shape to display incoming phone calls, alerts, notifications, and more.
Other features of the iPhone 14 include a Crash Detection feature that detects if the phone's owner is involved in a severe car crash and can call emergency services and the person's emergency contacts, as well as an App Tracking Transparency feature that allows users to pick which apps track their activity.
Apple also introduced the Lockdown Mode feature last July, which seeks to protect users against spyware.
The month before that, Safety Check was added to the iOS. Safety Check intends to help victims of domestic abuse by allowing users to suspend access to apps and data that they may have shared with their partners. Users can also reset privacy permissions for all apps and sign them out of iCloud on all of their other devices.
