Catch Gabbi Garcia on the all-new Playlist
Gabbi is honored to share her singing prowess through a cover of Spongecola’s 'Pag-ibig' which she performed for the relaunch of The Playlist.
Acting and music – these are two of Gabbi Garcia’s great loves. It brings her great joy to be able to express herself through these types of performing arts.
“Besides acting, singing talaga, making music is my next passion,” she declared.
Acting-wise, she’s scored a role of a lifetime as she brings life to Alena in the 2016 remake of Encantadia. With her music, on the other hand, she posts songs covers with her sister Alex Lopez from time to time and one day hopes to release an album of her own.
Also, Gabbi is honored to share her singing prowess through a cover of Spongecola’s Pag-ibig which she performed for the relaunch of The Playlist. Gabbi gave her own spin to the Dangwa theme song by making it more upbeat with a touch of reggae.
“Yung song is good vibes lang. [It’s nice to listen to] pagka-in love ka, good vibes ka, masaya ka. Yung bawat [bagay sa] paligid mo, gumaganda kapag punong puno ka ng pagmamahal,” she said.
The song fits her Encantadia character, the loving Alena, as well as the real her.
“Kung irerelate ko siya sa ‘kin… ako kasi, I’m a happy person. Lahat ng makikita ko is ginagawa ko siyang positive.I see the brighter side,” she added.
