“Life without music is a mistake.”
This was a quote Ken Chan saw in an advertisement that strikes a chord in the Kapuso artist up to this day. Ken admitted that music plays an important role in his life.
“Ang buhay kung walang musika ay isang malaking pagkakamali. And I think ‘yun ako, kung bakit napakalaking part ng music sa buhay ko. Kaya ko nagagawa ng maayos ‘yung mga goals at kung ano man ‘yung gusto kong gawin sa buhay ko, that’s because of music,” he claimed.
Ken also revealed that he identifies with certain songs in different stages in his life.
“Hilig ko ihambing ‘yung buhay ko sa iba’t ibang titles ng music,” he said.
“Ngayon, ‘I Made It Through The Rain’ kasi sa dinami-dami ng obstacles and triumphs na pinagdaanan ko, hindi lang dito sa industriya na ito kung hindi sa personal na buhay ko… Ang dami kong napagdaanan pero na-survive ko. I made it through the rain,” the actor-singer explained.
Ken is set to hold his first solo concert titled ‘My Destiny’ on August 19. His performances will not only showcase his talent in several music genres but will also reveal more about his personal life through his song selections.

But before conquering the stage, he is slated to perform his rendition of ‘Ako’y Mahalin,’ the theme song of his successful Kapuso program Destiny Rose and Shamrock’s ‘Sana’ from Captain Barbell via The Playlist tomorrow, August 17.
