MUST-SEE: GMA Playlist earns YouTube's Silver Creator Award

GMA Network's digital music show Playlist has earned its silver button from YouTube.

The Silver Creator Award was awarded to GMA Playlist in March 2019. This meant the Kapuso channel has more than 100,000 subscribers.

Rocky Gacho, producer and manager of GMA Post's Music Production Team, expressed her gratitude for the said recognition.

She stated, “We are thankful that we have reached this milestone. The team initially just wanted to test our original music and put it out there. Likewise, give our GMA talents a platform where they can perform and sing. We are truly overwhelmed that Playlist is appreciated not only by our subscribers but OPM artists as well. The techno-creative team of Post Production takes pride in capturing the live performances, working on the music mix and edit because we value the content that these artists share with the platform. Online features are also produced by our web team for the audience to know the artists behind their songs. GMA Playlist is our small contribution in keeping OPM alive and well.

“Being a collaborative project between very talented units who share one vision, we are totally lucky that we get to do this on top of our daily grind. Our subs can expect more to come in the next months. The team is in the process of experimenting on the tools provided by YT for content makers. We are also constantly scouting for new material that we can share with them. This is our way of saying thank you to our audience,” she also said.

GMA Playlist releases new performances every Wednesday via GMANetwork.com/playlist. The site also hosts other content including lyric videos, challenges, live sessions, and performance photos.
