X-Factor UK's Alisah Bonaobra is on GMA Playlist

Pinay pride Alisah Bonaobra has come a long way from representing her Filipino roots in X-Factor U.K. in 2017 where she made it to the finals.

Alisah amazed the show's judges led by Simon Cowell when she belted out powerhouse hits such as "Listen," "Bang Bang." She said during her auditions, "I believe my talent is world-class and I'm here to represent all the Filipino communities here in the U.K."

Singing has always been Alisah's passion, "I first started singing when I was five, and since then, I never stopped," she said in her X-Factor U.K. journey video.

It's no wonder she won the hearts of many not just the audience, but the judges as well, who were impressed with her stage presence and energetic voice.

This up and coming artist has also released a handful of tracks including “Laserlight,” (2015), “Baka Sakali Lang" (2018), “Manatili Ka Sa 'Min” (2019), and “Tayo Pa Rin” (2020).

Alisah has also showcased her stage talent at the World Championship of Performing Arts (WCPA) and played the lead character Aileen Dimaraan in PETA's hit musical “Rak of Aegis.”

Her main motivation for joining competitions and singing in weddings is her family.

"When I sing in weddings, all my extra money goes to my family to support them."

Alisah has also released a lyric video of her own single “Ginto Ang Bawat Sandali.”

The powerful song “Gintong Tinig” was originally written for Alisah by hitmaker Kiko Salazar. Alisah said in a press interview, “Masasabi ko po na ito'y kapana-panabik dahil it's challenging to sing, in particular the bridge part.”

The song was inspired by her late grandfather Luciano, who passed away in June 2020. She said in her vlog, “Magsilbi sanang tinig sa puso ninyo ang mensahe ng 'Gintong Tinig,' at maging inspirasyon at pag-asa sa ganitong panahon na kailangang matutunan nating i-appreciate ang isa't isa at kung anong meron tayo.”

Aside from music, Alisah is a family-oriented homebody and an animal-lover with 14 cats, five dogs, and two turtles.
