Rodjun Cruz on Alden Richards: "Lalo pang bumait"

Alden Richards may have attained massive success in recent years, but his friend Rodjun Cruz can attest to his continuous kindness and humility.

“Actually, parang nagbago siya. Lalo pang bumait. Totoo yan,” he said.

As he has witnessed Alden’s rise to fame, Rodjun is ever more pleased to be in 'Upsurge,' former’s first major solo concert.

“Sobrang nakakatuwa dahil isang karangalan [ito]. Kaibigan ko talaga yan so masaya ako na kasama ako sa concert niya. And nandito rin kami, syempre, para suportahan siya at mapanood din namin siya,” he added.

During rehearsals, he sees how much effort Alden put into his numbers, making the concert a show to watch for.

“Nakikita rin namin yung preparations niya sa concert na ‘to. Talagang kilala ko yung kaibigan ko na ‘to. Ugali niya, gusto niya mapasaya lahat ng manonood kaya todo talaga pag-re-rehearse niya sa lahat ng mga prods niya,” Rodjun noted.

He’s also excited about sharing the stage with other good friends Kristoffer Martin and Mark Herras. 'Upsurge' was an opportunity for them to bond.

“Ang tagal nga naming nakuha yung steps kasi nagtatawanan muna kami, nag-e-enjoy kami, nag-kuwe-kuwentuhan kami. Sobrang excited kami na sama-sama ulit kami dahil bihira lang ‘to na magkakasama ulit kami sumayaw sa stage, tapos sa concert pa ni Alden. Sobrang excited kami na mag-perform para sa tao at excited din kami na magkakasama kami sumayaw,” he concluded.
