Kristoffer Martin, honored to be chosen by Alden Richards for 'Upsurge'

When Kristoffer Martin found out he was one of the few, he didn’t think twice about saying yes.
“Happy ako, honored. Syempre malapit sa puso ko si Alden so nung sinabi na rinerequest ako ni Alden… umoo agad ako,” he said.
For Kristoffer, it’s nice to have witnessed Alden’s career flourish from humble beginnings, and maintain a strong, solid friendship.
“Unang appearance niya sa TV, which is GMA countdown [years ago], dun nag-start yung friendship namin, hangga’t sa talagang [naging] kuya ko na siya. Dumating sa point na ‘pag may problema ako, kailangan ko ng kausap sa madaling araw [o] kailangan ko ng advice, nandyan siya,” he added.
Kristoffer also lauds the humility of the Pambansang Bae.
“Alam mo yung grabe kay Alden? From the beginning, consistent siya hanggang ngayon. Sobrang humble, sobrang bait. Lahat ng tao, kahit sino tanungin mo, sasabihin walang pinagbago si Alden… Hindi niya linalagay sa ulo kung nasaan man siya ngayon,” he told GMANetwork.com.
Because their schedules don’t always match, rehearsing for#AldenUpsurge was an opportune time to catch up and spend time together. He’s glad to be able to once again share the stage with Alden, alongside their two other good friends Mark Herras and Rodjun Cruz.
“Kalokohan kasi kami eh, ‘pag pinagsama-sama kami. [Tapos] ako yung pinaka-least na sumasayaw so kailangan kong tapatan ‘tong mga ‘to. Syempre, ‘di [ako] magpapatalo sa mga ‘to,” he concluded.
