Papa Obet releases Christmas song 'Regalo'
Papa Obet is making a comeback with his new Christmas single "Regalo."
Barangay LS Forever DJ Papa Obet is set to melt the hearts of many with his new Christmas song under GMA Music titled "Regalo."
According to Papa Obet, he has written the chorus of "Regalo" for a long time now and decided to finish the song as his new Christmas release.
The song is about longing. He hopes that those who are apart will return home this Christmas and be with their loved ones.
"Actually 'yung 'Regalo,' kasi 'di ba kapag sinabi nating regalo ang unang pumapasok sa isip natin 'di ba material things. Like kapag Pasko, Bagong Taon, or kahit sabihin nating hindi Christmas, kapag sinabing regalo... materyal kaagad ang naiisip natin.
Papa Obet continued, "Sa song na ito, kapag sinabing regalo hindi siya materyal na bagay na gusto mong ma-receive this Christmas kung hindi 'yung presence ng kung sino mang gusto mong makasama ngayong Pasko. Pwedeng kaibigan, katrabaho, karelasyon, magulang, or even your pets ay pwede mong hingin this Christmas--'yung presence niya na makasama."
