The talented 20-year-old singer Plume has officially become the latest addition to the roster of AltG Records artists, GMA Music’s sub-label.

The talented 20-year-old singer Plume has officially become the latest addition to the roster of AltG Records artists, GMA Music’s sub-label. Born Shaquille Iverson A. Dumpit, Plume hails from Baguio City and is currently studying Computer Science at the University of Baguio.

Plume’s journey into music began in 2021. In order to keep himself busy during the pandemic, he started creating songs, initially keeping them only to himself. However, encouragement from family and friends propelled him to share his creations with the world.

“In 2021, during the pandemic, I started to try to make a song. I liked the feeling of being able to finish a song, so I continued and kept on trying. But at that time, when I was able to finish the songs, I didn’t have any plans to send them out to others. I finally got the courage when my family and friends encouraged me,” shares Plume.

Plume has already created 30 songs as of writing, and his songs showcase his unique perspective on themes of longing and haunting emotions. He describes his music as mellow, dramatic, and somber. His songwriting process involves playing around with chords, creating progressions, and then crafting the lyrics that resonate with the emotions he feels during the time. He is really thankful that AltG Records was able to notice his music.

“I just create the music, but I don’t know how I can release it to the world. With AltG Records, aside from having a platform to finally share my music, my main goal also is to overcome my fear of people not liking my songs and learn how to be proud of what we’ll be producing and releasing,” says Plume.

Stay tuned for Plume’s upcoming releases under AltG Records.
