GMA Music secures five nominations at the 38th Awit Awards

GMA Music’s recognition also extends across television soundtracks and beloved holiday music.

GMA Network’s record label, GMA Music, continues to make waves in the Original Pilipino Music (OPM) scene as it successfully earns a total of five finalist nominations for the 38th Awit Awards. This highlights the label’s commitment to nurturing diverse talent and delivering world-class musical content that resonates across all media platforms.

Two new dynamic acts from GMA Music’s sub-label, AltG Records, are finalists in the performance categories. Baguio-based singer-songwriter Plume is nominated for Best Performance by a New Solo Artist for his single, “Panggap.” OPM band Sala also earned a finalist spot for Best Performance by a New Group with their track “Hi, Tita.”

GMA Music’s recognition also extends across television soundtracks and beloved holiday music. The collective voices of the Sparkle Singers is nominated for Best Christmas Recording for the festive GMA 2024 Christmas Station ID, “Ganito ang Pasko.”

Additionally, GMA Music also scored two nominations for Best Original Soundtrack Recording. Gen Z Pop Star Zephanie is recognized for her powerful theme song “Nagbago ang Daigdig” from the sci-fantasy series “My Guardian Alien” alongside the dramatic duet of Crystal Paras and Jeniffer Maravilla “Sa Akin Sya,” from the intense series “Asawa ng Asawa Ko.”

The Awit Awards, organized by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI), stands as the most prestigious recognition event for Filipino recording artists and music professionals. The winners of the 38th Awit Awards will be announced on November 16.
