NIOR’s new single, 'BNT,' will be out on Friday, January 30.

OPM band NIOR is back with a new track that reminds us that love is beautiful, but too much of it can be destructive.

NIOR is set to release their new single, “BNT,” under AltG Records on Friday, January 30, on Spotify and other digital music platforms.

Composed of Brian Nucup (Rhythm Guitar/Vocals), Gabrielle Van Polanen Petel (Vocals), Jessie Ocampo (Drums), Paul Tanchiato (Lead Guitar), and Christian Cervera Mallari (Bass), the band revealed that “BNT” stands for “Buhay ng Tanga.”

“So, medyo ano siya, straightforward 'di ba? Noong sinusulat ko siya, I felt like ako ‘yung tangang ‘yun. It was based [on] an experience,” vocalist Brian shared.

He added, “Exaggerated, pero it was something real.”

The vocalist admitted that the song was a form of advice to himself.

“Parang my realizations all throughout noong nangyari. Pwede sa interpretation ng tao, might be [a] relationship, might be friendship, or ano mang ship,” he explained.

“Ang message ko lang doon, for myself and for people, is to stop being tanga. Huwag tayong magpakatanga sa mga bagay na hindi naman dapat. Hindi worth it,” he advised.

According to the five-member band, the song was written last year, and they finished the demo overnight due to raging emotions, which became an outlet for those feelings.

Previously, NIOR released their single “Giliw” on September 19, 2025.

In August 2023, the band debuted with their first single, “Formosa.”
