Singco Mano to release jeepney ride-inspired track 'Manong ('Wag Po)'
Singco Mano's "Manong ('Wag Po)" will be released on digital music platforms this Friday, April 17.
Rising band Singco Mano returns with a straight-from-the-heart single inspired by their shared "love" experiences.
Titled "Manong ('Wag Po)," the track is set against the familiar backdrop of a jeepney ride, delivering a heartfelt plea to hold on a little longer. Its driving rhythm and emotional lyrics echo the urgency of not wanting to say goodbye.
The track marks their first release in six months, following their debut single "Ulan" in October 2025.
According to the band, the song was written on a rainy day in a coffee shop along MacArthur Highway in Angeles, Pampanga, a place they often visit and a route filled with jeepneys.
"'Yung latest single po namin, actually, it was written in a coffee shop. It was a rainy day. Sa amin, mayroon kaming tinatawag na MAcArthur Highway, tinatamaan po ang Angeles ng MacArthur Highway. Madalas po roon kami tumatambay, mga coffee shop do'n. Ruta po 'yon ng napakaraming jeep," the band vocalist Paul Santana shared.
"We wrote something, 'Ano bang experiences nating mga lalaki na pwede nating i-compile?' I think that's love. So, our experiences in love, heartaches, heartbreaks, fear of missing out, we compiled it into one.
"Paano ba natin ikukuwento? Simple lang, sakay tayo ng jeep. Doon nabuo 'yung bago naming single, 'Manong ('Wag Po).'"
"Manong ('Wag Po)" will be released this Friday, April 17, under AltG Records, a sublabel of GMA Music.
Singco Mano is composed of Paul Santana (vocals), Gello Roque (lead guitar), David Legaspi (keys), Nate Mendoza (bass), and Ernest Suing (drums). The band officially joined AltG Records in January 2026.
