Singco Mano releases 'Manong ('Wag Po)'; featured on Spotify's New Music Friday PH
Singco Mano's "Manong ('Wag Po)" is officially out now on all streaming platforms.
Singco Mano's jeepney-inspired track "Manong ('Wag Po)" has finally arrived on music streaming platforms. The song has also landed on Spotify Philippines' New Music Friday playlist.
With the release, the band immerses listeners in their shared love experiences set against the backdrop of a jeepney ride. Its driving rhythm and emotional lyrics echo the urgency of not wanting to say goodbye.
The track's music draws influence from the '70s and '80s Manila sound, blended with a modern touch.
It was written on a rainy day at a coffee shop along MacArthur Highway in Angeles, Pampanga--a place they often visit and a route filled with jeepneys.
"We wrote something, 'Ano bang experiences nating mga lalaki na pwede nating i-compile?' I think that's love. So, our experiences in love, heartaches, heartbreaks, fear of missing out, we compiled it into one. Paano ba natin ikukuwento? Simple lang, sakay tayo ng jeep. Doon nabuo 'yung bago naming single, 'Manong ('Wag Po),'" the band vocalist Paul Santana shared.
"Manong ('Wag Po)" marks their first release in six months, following their debut single "Ulan" in October 2025.
Listen to "Manong ('Wag Po)," now available for streaming on iTunes, Spotify, YouTube Music, and other digital music streaming platforms worldwide.
