Plume explores love, longing in first rock ballad 'Ikot'

Plume is gearing up for the release of his first rock ballad, "Ikot," marking a new chapter in his evolving artistry.
The song captures the feeling of being deeply in love, that no amount of time ever feels enough. Through the imagery of dancing and spinning together, the song reflects the desire to pause the world and hold on to a beautiful moment.
In an interview with GMANetwork.com, the AltG Records artist shared that his new single was inspired by a conversation with his girlfriend on the topic, "If you were to disappear the next day, how would you let the other person know?"
He explained that the song's first verse reflects his thoughts, while the second verse expresses his girlfriend's perspective.
"The first verse is my perspective on the topic, which is I would want to be with her for as long as possible," Plume said.
"And 'yung second verse, which is her perspective na, she probably couldn't bear the weight of saying it to me. 'Yung verse po na 'yon is just her saying na 'Time is not enough to tell you how much I love you.'
"Tapos 'yung chorus po is us agree na we would rather be stuck in a time loop than being separated from each other," he added.
"Ikot" will be released on digital music platforms this Friday, July 31.
