Baguio-based singer Plume has released the recording video for his new single "Ikot" under AltG Records.
The heartfelt rock ballad captures the longing of two lovers to stay together a little longer before they have to say goodbye.
In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Plume shared that the song was inspired by a conversation with his girlfriend on the topic, "If you were to disappear the next day, how would you let the other person know?"
"The first verse is my perspective on the topic, which is I would want to be with her for as long as possible," Plume said.
"And 'yung second verse, which is her perspective na, she probably couldn't bear the weight of saying it to me. 'Yung verse po na 'yon is just her saying na 'Time is not enough to tell you how much I love you.'
"Tapos 'yung chorus po is us agree na we would rather be stuck in a time loop than being separated from each other," he added.
"Ikot" is Plume's second release this year, following "Diskoberi" in March. His other songs include "Kidlat," "Panggap," "Panaginip," and his debut single "Beautiful."
The singer is also preparing for the release of his debut album later this year.
"Ikot" is now available for download and streaming on iTunes, Spotify, YouTube Music, and other digital music platforms worldwide.
