CSB jins continue strong showing in NCAA 96 speed kicking event | NCAA Philippines

The College of Saint Benilde captured not just one, but two medals in the continuation of the NCAA Season 96 online taekwondo event on Monday.

CSB taekwondo jins Matthew Cloyd Roxas and JV Anthony Villaron ruled the middleweight division of the men's speed kicking event after snaring the gold and silver medal, respectively.

The 19-year-old Roxas scored a total of 6.408 points to top the division while Villaron finished with 6.383 markers to settle for the second place.

Terrence Ciriaco of the Arellano University, meanwhile, bagged the bronze medal after collecting 6.033 points.

Gabriel Teruel of the San Beda University (5.992), John Azriel Reyes of San Sebastian College-Recoletos (5.900), John Queneth Deniel Malaga of host Letran (5.867), Josephose Glomo of SSC-R (5.792), and Jared Dennis Pasiliao of Arellano (5.233) were the other participants.

This is the latest feat of the CSB taekwondo team after Mikko Regala notched 6.700 points to dominate the seniors welterweight division on Sunday.

Prior to him,  Ivan Murray Solimen garnered a total of 6.908 to take home the gold medal in the finweight division.
