Netflix drops trailer for new Japanese animation film 'A Whisker Away'

A new Japanese animation film is coming to Netflix on June 18.

From "Sailor Moon" director Junichi Satoh and "Anohana" writer Mari Okada comes "A Whisker Away," a story about love, magic, and cats.

It tells the story of Miyo Sasaki, who is secretly in love with her classmate Kento Hinode. In an effort to get close to him, she transforms into a cat, but the boundaries between her human self and her cat self becomes blurred.

The cast includes Natsuki Hanae, who voices Tanjiro Kamado in "Demon Slayer," and Mirai Shida, who voiced Kayo Horikoshi from Ghiblie's "The Wind Rises," and Koichi Yamadera, who voiced Togusa in "Ghost in the Shell."
