Sen. Koko Pimentel shares first family photo with newborn daughter Helena and wife Kathryna

Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III shared the first public photo of his family on Tuesday.

On his Instagram account, Pimentel posted a photo of himself with his wife, Kathryna and their newborn daughter, Helena.

“Sharing our first family photo with our ray of sunshine, our baby daughter, Helena. Have a blessed day to all!,” he wrote in the caption.

On Monday, Pimentel also posted a photo of him with Helena while they were in the hospital.

“Papa’s girl,” he said.

Kathryna gave birth to Helena via caesarian section last March 29.

The couple first introduced their daughter on Facebook last April 2 as Kathryna expressed how thankful she was for the second life she received after giving birth.

Pimentel has been drawing flak since he accompanied his then pregnant wife to Makati Medical Center on March 24 despite his pending COVID-19 test results.

He said he immediately left the hospital on the same date upon receiving confirmation that he was infected with the viral disease.

The "reckless" action was condemned by the hospital management and Pimentel has since apologized for the incident.
