Netflix to premiere fantasy K-drama 'Mystic Pop-up Bar' on May 20

Netflix is dropping another series you can binge watch amid the extended quarantine period. It's called "Mystic Pop-up Bar" and it's a fantasy K-drama. 

"Mystic Pop-up Bar," which stars Hwang Jung Eum (Weol-ju), Yook Sung-jae (Kang-bae), and Choi Won Young (Guibanjang), follows a story of a late night bar owner and her young naive part-timer.

They both have mystical powers: Kang-bae was born gifted with the sixth sense, while Weol-ju, the Mystic Pop-up Bar owner, has the power to enter customers' dreams and help them resolve their emotional baggage.

Weoul-ju is tasked to fulfill a quota helping 100,000 troubled souls, and to do so she will help Kang-bae who is a so-called "human magnet" for problems and sorrows.

After Kang-bae realizes Weol-ju's healing power she sees him as his last hope to be freed from his empathetic magnetism.

The newest Korean show will drop on Netflix on May 20 with new episodes every Wednesday and Thursday at 10 p.m., Philippine time. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
