How to stay fit and healthy amid quarantine according to Rovilson Fernandez

Now that many people are staying at home and unable to go to the gym due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, some of them may start to think that fitness is no longer a priority.

However, during an interview with #RealTalk on Wednesday, “New Normal: Survival Guide” host Rovilson Fernandez shared that maintaining a healthy lifestyle didn’t have to be difficult.

In fact, it’s not even expensive!

To achieve a healthy lifestyle and your #FitnessGoals, Rovilson shared a few tips.

1. Eat healthy.

You don’t have to spend a lot to be able to eat healthy. According to Rovilson, you can just eat fish and vegetables and cut out consumption of red meat and be already on your way to a healthier lifestyle.

He also highly suggested intermittent fasting, where you avoid food intake within a specific time frame during the day.

“Minimum 16 hours for men, 12 hours for women,” the host shared. “It's a great way to reduce calorie intake.”

2. Exercise

Rovilson said that to stay healthy, you have to exercise regularly.

Rovilson, along with Tonipet Gaba, will be hosting the new show “Home Work,” a part of the “New Normal: Survival Guide” series, where they will give life hacks and quarantine tips for people staying in their homes.

Rovilson shared that in one of their episodes, he would teach viewers how to do some home exercises.

3. Stay motivated.

One way to stay healthy is to stay motivated in being healthy.

“Go online and get motivated,” Rovilson said.

“Follow the right people. Follow your fitness idols, your fitspirations,” he added.
