Chris Evans doesn't see anyone playing Iron Man better than Robert Downey Jr.

The Captain America actor made the comment in an ACE Universe interview when asked which Avenger he would switch with.

He answered Iron Man because the "paychecks would be nice, but just the role is so fun."

"The role is, you know, he's the engine, he's the life," he added.

But Evans said that would be "signing up for failure."

"I don't think there's anything anyone on this planet could do that would somehow improve upon what Downey's done, you know what I mean? I don't consider that a role that's gonna be like a James Bond or a Superman or Batman, that somehow other people get a bite at the apple," he said.

"He's Iron Man, the end," he added.

Downey debuted his role as Tony Stark in the 2008 film "Iron Man," which kickstarted the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It has two direct sequels, "Iron Man 2" (2010) and "Iron Man 3" (2013).

Downey ended his run as the well-loved genius (billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist) after "Avengers: Endgame" (2019). —JCB, GMA News
