'Trese' creator Budjette Tan thrilled to see comic 'brought to life in full color' in Netflix adaptation

We finally saw Alexandra Trese in action after Netflix dropped the trailer for the  Filipino comic's anime adaptation on Thursday!

And if fans are already thrilled with how the supernatural detective turned out, what more Budjette Tan, the "Trese" creator himself?

In an interview with "Pinoy Klasiks" last year, Tan previously shared his thoughts on the teasers dropped by Netflix.

"It's great to see Trese brought to life in full color," he said. "I think the rest of the show will be really mind-blowing for everyone."

Tan also said he is excited to have Jay Oliva, who did "Batman" and "Justice League Dark," as the showrunner and director.

"It just makes this project even more closer to us that its being done by fellow Filipinos," he said.

Aside from Oliva, other Filipino talents have been tapped for the series. Fil-American singer Nicole Scherzinger and Fil-Canadian actor Manny Jacinto are part of the English voice cast.

"I hope that it becomes inspiring for all other creators and animators, that a Pinoy story can reach a global audience," Tan said.

"Trese" will start streaming on Netflix on June 11.
