Beatrice Luigi Gomez brought relief aid to victims of Typhoon Odette in Compostela, Cebu.

On Tuesday, the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 titleholder shared photos during the packing and distribution of the packages.

"We've finally reached the far flung areas of Compostela, Cebu that have been badly affected by Typhoon Odette especially the ones that did not receive any assistance due to the difficulty of accessing their areas," Beatrice wrote on Instagram.

She added that she also "managed to celebrate my late Lola Yaga's birth anniversary yesterday by packing and distributing 300 packs of relief goods with the help of Sir Jessie, Mama Ping, Ate Louise together with our little furry assistants Chabbie and Choco."

Beatrice ended her note by thanking their donors, adding the hashtags #BangonSugboanon and #MabuhiKaCebu.

The beauty queen earlier said her own family in Cebu was affected by the typhoon and they spent Christmas without water and electricity.

According to National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), Odette affected a total of 3,567,588 people or 918,877 families in 5,674 barangays.

The affected regions include Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga, Northern Mindanao, Davao, Soccsksargen, Caraga, and Bangsamoro. – Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/RC, GMA News
