Over 292,000 violators recorded in NCR amid Alert Level 4 —PNP

A total of 292, 442 quarantine protocol violators have been recorded in the National Capital Region since the implementation of Alert Level 4 in mid-September, data from the Philippine National Police showed Wednesday.

In an update, the PNP said 9,623 violators were newly reported. It also said the average daily number of violators from September 16 to October 12 is at 10,444.

According to the PNP, 53% of the violators were warned, 40% were fined, while 7% faced other sanctions.

Of the total number, 205,642 violators, with a daily average of 7,344, have violated the minimum public health standards amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

For curfew, a total of 83,821 violators or 2,994 daily were recorded.

A total of 2,979 who are not considered authorized persons outside residence (APORs) were caught outdoors.

NCR is under Alert Level 4 as part of the pilot testing of the implementation of the new five-level alert system, which started on September 16.

Areas under Alert Level 4—the second highest alert level—are those with infections that are high or increasing while total beds and ICU beds are at high utilization rate.

Outdoor or al fresco dining is allowed at a maximum of 30% venue/seating capacity regardless of vaccination status of customers.

Indoor dine-in services are also allowed at a limited 10% venue/seating capacity but will cater only to individuals fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

On Wednesday, the government task force in COVID-19 response approved the recommendation to place the NCR under Alert Level 3 starting October 16, 2021 until 31, 2021.
