PNP COVID-19 cases climb to 41,266 after 66 new infections

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Sunday said 66 new COVID-19 cases were reported among its personnel, driving up the total tally of coronavirus infections to 41,266.

Of this number, 953 cases are currently active.

Meanwhile, with 54 new recoveries, total recoveries now total 40,191.

The death toll remained at 122 as no new fatality was reported.

The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday reported 7,772 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the nationwide tally to 2,713,509. 

The country’s active cases, meanwhile, stood at 85,048.

Total recoveries climbed to 2,587,881 with 1,634 new ones, while 156 new fatalities pushed the death toll to 40,580. —KG, GMA News
