Baguio records 40 new COVID-19 cases

Baguio City said it recorded 40 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of Friday, according to a report on 24 Oras News Alert on Saturday.

This drove up the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the city to 2,956.

Of this number, 188 are active cases.

A total of 2,727 have recovered while 41 died.

The city implements strictly its border restrictions as a measure to prevent the further transmission of COVID-19.

As of Friday, the Philippines has recorded a total of 425,918 confirmed COVID-19 cases.

Total recoveries reached 387,616 while the death toll was at 8,255. —KG, GMA News
