Bacolod City records 13 new COVID-19 cases

Bacolod City in Negros Occidental has recorded 13 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, which drove up the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 5,344, according to a report on 24 Oras News Alert on Saturday.

Data from the Provincial Health Office showed that of the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases, 76 are active.

Recoveries totaled 176 while the death toll was at eight.

that is expected to start next year.

“Lahat po ng mga tumaas nang mahigit 4,000 o 3,000 ang kanilang active cases, uunahin po natin 'yan. Kasama po ang Bacolod, Iloilo, Cebu, at Tacloban City,” he said.

The OCTA Research group earlier observed that Bacolod was among the local government units with the most new cases per day.

As of Friday, the Philippines has recorded a total of 425,918 confirmed COVID-19 cases.

Total recoveries reached 387,616 while the death toll was at 8,255. —KG, GMA News
