Ilocos Norte records most number of new daily COVID-19 cases at 31

Ilocos Norte province recorded its highest number of daily new COVID-19 cases at 31, according to a Saturday afternoon 24 Oras News Alert.

Most of the new cases were locals and overseas Filipino workers who returned to their homes in the province.

All the new cases were quarantined.

Meanwhile, 130 inmates of the Ilocos Norte provincial jail were swab tested last Friday after 12 inmates and jail guards contracted COVID-19.

Of Ilocos Norte's 265 confirmed novel coronavirus cases, 102 were active cases, 161 had recovered from the illness, while two people had died from it. — DVM, GMA News
