Worldwide coronavirus cases reach 30.55 million, death toll at 951,051 —Reuters tally

More than 30.55 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 951,051 have died, according to a Reuters tally.
   
Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.

The US has the most number of coronavirus cases at 6,740,257 and a death toll of 198,634.

It was followed by:

• India: 5,308,014 cases and 85,619 deaths

• Brazil: 4,455,386 cases and 134,935 deaths
• Russia: 1,097,251 cases and  19,339 deaths
• Peru: 750,098 cases and 31,146 deaths

The Philippines recorded 283,460 cases and 4,930 deaths as of Saturday. —Reuters/KG, GMA News
