Cloudy with isolated rains forecast for the Philippines due to easterlies

The easterlies will be affecting Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao on Saturday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms brought about by the easterlies or localized thunderstorms.

The weather bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao is light to moderate moving in the east to southeast direction while coastal waters will be slight to Moderate.

For the rest of Luzon, the wind speed forecast is light to moderate moving in the southeast to south direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate.

The sunrise will be at 5:26 a.m. while the sunset will be at 6:21 p.m. -- BAP, GMA News
