David Pomeranz shares how he made his lockdown time productive

American singer-songwriter David Pomeranz said he has been grateful despite the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic, as he spends his time more with himself and his family.

"Interestingly I've been at home to my family which is lovely, and we're actually spending a lovely time together. My mother lives with us, and my wife (Kelly) and our son, and we're getting to know each other better," David said at the Laging Handa press briefing on Saturday.

"It's really lovely 'cause I'm usually running around the world and catching planes and such. It's been very nice just to settle to get to know one another," the singer added, whose songs Got To Believe In Magic, The Old Songs, and King and Queen of Hearts, among others were big hits.

"Basically trying to stay productive. I'm writing a play, I'm writing songs. That's what we do, right? We keep pushing ahead and be yourselves and produce beautiful things," he said.

David is part of the music video "Spread a Smile," which is a collaboration of different artists around the world to bring positivity to people in this time of COVID-19 crisis.

"It's called 'Spread a Smile,' and it's a gorgeous song, and it is what we need to do at this time. Instead of spreading bad news and spreading viruses, we spread smiles," David said.

Other artists also include Stanley Clarke, Chick Corea, David Campbell and Kate Ceberano, among others. â€”Jamil Santos/LBG, GMA News
