Filipino reinforcements playing in the Japan Professional Basketball League (B.League) will have a chance to play against the league's young locals in the 2022 B.League All-Star festivities.

The B.League said select Asian imports will go against the league's rising stars in the B.League Asia All-Stars vs B.League Rising Stars on January 14.

Six Filipino hoopers are playing in B.League Division 1: Thirdy Ravena (San-En Neophoenix), Kiefer Ravena (Shiga Lakestars), Ray Parks, Jr. (Nagoya Diamond Dolphins), Dwight Ramos (Toyama Grouses), Javi Gomez de Liaño (Ibaraki Robots), and Kobe Paras (Niigata Albirex BB).

Matthew Aquino, another Filipino, suits up for the Shinshu Brave Warriors but is considered a local.

Juan Gomez de Liaño (Earthfriends Tokyo Z) and Kemark Cariño (Aomori Wat's) are playing in Division 2.

Other Asian imports playing in the league include China's Weijia Wang (Akita Northern Happinets), Indonesia's Brandon Jawato (Utsunomiya Brex), and South Korea's Jaemin Yang (Shinshu Brave Warriors) for Division 1, and China's Jin Liu (Nishinimoya Storks) for Division 2.

The imports may also be selected to play in the main All-Star game by fan voting which will start on November 8.

Thirdy Ravena was selected in the All-Star lineup last year, but missed the festivities due to injury.
