RSG Philippines sweeps RSG Singapore in MPL Invitational 2021

By JOHN EDISON UBALDO

RSG Philippines did not look like rookies in their first international tournament as they swept sister team RSG Singapore, 2-0, in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Invitational 2021 on Wednesday.

The win arranged a Round of 16 date between RSG PH and fellow Philippine representative Echo for the spot across Indonesia's Onic Esports in the quarterfinals.

John Cedrix "Demonkite" Caranto (Balmond), the MPL Philippines rookie of the season, introduced himself in the international scene with a bang via a double kill off a 2nd minute turtle fight that helped him snowball right away en route to a 4-0-0 KDA by the 7th minute.

RSG PH displayed macro strategy brilliance as they easily broke down their Singaporean rivals with superb map control and used a 9th minute lord take to pull ahead right away, 1-0.

Demonkite finished with a monster 9-0-1 KDA to spearhead RSG PH's 12-2 kill rampage in Game 1.

The Philippine representatives did not let up in Game 2 as Demonkite (Karina) easily scored a killing spree by the 6th minute with debuting Eman "EMANN" Sangco (Claude) also taking a 2-0-3 KDA as the gold laner.

They totally dominated the series and finished with another stellar 18-4 kill spread in 13 minutes to complete the sweep.
