The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has required all vaccination sites in the country to submit data within two days after an inoculation event, Malacañang said Friday.

At the Palace briefing, presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles said IATF made the directive under the Resolution No. 159.

“All vaccination sites — whether public or private — are required to submit their data to the Vaccine Information Management System within 48 hours from the vaccination event,” he said.

Vaccination sites with no electronic vaccine administration systems are encouraged to use the DICT Vaccine Administration System (DVAS), DVAS mobile, and DVAS offline.

Earlier, Department of the Interior and Local Government spokesperson Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya said only seven out of 10 people who apply for a COVID-19 vaccination certificate through the VaxCertPH portal are able to acquire the certification due to backlogs in data uploading.

He said some local government units (LGUs) are focusing more on the vaccination program than on updating data in the online portal.

In November last year, DILG Secretary Eduardo Año said that the government's immunization record still had 10 million gaps in entries.

Malacañang also urged LGUs to hasten the encoding of vaccine recipients’ information in the verification database system. —KBK, GMA News
