DOH reports 1,153 new COVID-19 cases, active tally drops to 18,467

The Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday reported 1,153 new COVID-19 infections, up from from 810 new COVID-19 cases logged the day before.

According to the latest data from the DOH, the tally of active cases went down to 18,467, down from 18,824.

The new cases also pushed the nationwide caseload to 4,022,127.

The Health department said the National Capital Region (NCR) recorded the most cases in the recent two weeks with 2,996, followed by Calabarzon with 1,765, Western Visayas with 1,377, Central Luzon with 1,048, and Central Visayas with 941.

The Health department said a total of 1,510 patients defeated the viral disease bringing the recovery tally to 3,939,219.

The death toll, on the other hand, also climbed to 64,441 with nine new fatalities.

At least 12,701 individuals were tested, while 343 testing laboratories submitted data as of Wednesday, November 16.

The bed occupancy in the country stood at 23.7% with at least 6,807 beds occupied and 21,866 were vacant as of Tuesday, November 15. — Richa Noriega/BM, GMA Integrated News
