LOOK: Ateneo holds candle light service for Baterbonia, Adili

Ateneo de Manila University is holding a candle light service for its late men’s basketball players, Rene Baterbonia and Chukwuemeka Divine Adili.

Ateneo’s student publication, The Guidon, posted photos of the candle light service and Adili’s wake at the College Chapel on the Loyola Heights campus.

The university announced on Friday that the candle light service would begin on Saturday, with public viewing scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and a Mass at 6:00 p.m.

Baterbonia and Adili passed away on Monday during a team-building activity with the Blue Eagles.

The university said it is conducting its own inquiry into the incident while coordinating with authorities.

Blue Eagles head coach Tab Baldwin, who is currently on leave while the probe is ongoing, apologized on Friday for what happened.
