Ateneo to hold candle light service for Divine Adili

The Ateneo de Manila University will hold a candle light service for the late player Chukwuemeka Divine Adili who passed away during a team-building activity in Aurora on Monday.

On Friday, Ateneo said the candle light service will be held at the university’s College Chapel on Saturday.

“Divine Adili’s journey brought him far from home, but along the way he found teammates, classmates, coaches, and friends who came to know and love him,” the Ateneo said.

“He made a lasting impact through the warmth of his presence, the friendships he formed, and the joy he brought to the communities he became part of. We remember Divine with affection and gratitude, and grieve with all those who loved him — in the Philippines, in Nigeria, and beyond.”

Ateneo also held a candle light vigil for Rene Baterbonia in the campus on Thursday.
